Privacy notice

This notice covers the newklik.com website, operated by Newklik Pty Ltd (ACN 320 227 897) in Australia and Newklik PLT (202504003027) in Malaysia. It does not cover software we build or operate for clients, which is governed by the agreements for that work.

What we collect. If you use the inquiry panel, we collect what you choose to send in the brief: your name, organisation, email address and what you tell us about your operation. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested. We use privacy-respecting analytics that count visits in aggregate and set no cookies. The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies.

The assistant. The inquiry panel includes an assistant. Your conversation with it is processed by our AI provider to generate replies and to prepare the brief; it may be processed outside Australia and Malaysia. We do not store the conversation. Your name and email address are never sent to the AI provider. If you send the brief, we store the brief and a short summary of the conversation, as described below.

Why. To respond to your inquiry, to keep the site running and secure, and to understand in aggregate how it is used.

Who handles it. Sent briefs are stored in our systems in Australia and delivered to us by email. Our service providers process data on our behalf to host the site (Vercel), store briefs (Supabase, Sydney), deliver email (Resend), provide analytics (Vercel Analytics) and generate assistant replies (Anthropic); they may process data in Australia and overseas, including the United States. We do not sell personal information and do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long. Sent briefs are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. Server logs and analytics are kept for 90 days. IP addresses used for rate limiting are stored only in hashed form.

Your rights. You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@newklik.com. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, in Malaysia, the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the Personal Data Protection Department of Malaysia.

Changes. We update this notice when our practices change and show the version and date at the top.
